Answer -
it can be due in deed ti hypothyroidism but also it can be due to anemia.
therefore you will need to do a blood check out for an anemia if there is
an anemia treat it, and of course the type of anemia need to be determined
meaning that there several type of anemia and some as thalassemia nothing
can be done athough there is some treatment now on the market, or other
type where you will need to take some iron or vit b12 and b6 beside of
folic acid vitamin.
if you do not have an anemia then check for hypothyroidism and a physical
exam of the thyroid if you have goiter or not.

According to your information I think that you are suffering from asthma
[allergic type] , or eosinophilia [loeffler's syndrome or other], or a
parasite from the birds, and the two first guess also.
If the diagnosis is not made no medication that has been giving you will
work
I advising you to see a specialist of lung disease for proper investigation
and treatment.
Acute pulmonary eosinophilia is a self-limiting inflammation of the lungs
associated with infiltration of eosinophils (a type of white blood cell that
increases in number in response to allergies or inflammation) in the lungs
and blood.
Symptoms:
general ill feeling (malaise)
loss of appetite
fever lasting 2 to 3 days
cough that is productive of mucus-like phlegm (mucoid sputum)
chest pain
shortness of breath
wheezing
rapid respiratory rate
headache
muscle pain
Note: Symptoms may be mild, severe, or not present. Symptoms will usually
resolve spontaneously.
Listening to the chest with a stethoscope (auscultation) reveals fluid in
the lungs, and may reveal a friction rub.

A bronchoscopy shows hypersensitivity reaction.
An open lung biopsy shows hypersensitivity reaction.
A CBC or WBC count shows increased white blood cells, particularly
eosinophils. The blood differential may also be abnormal.
These tests also confirm the diagnosis:
sputum smear (KOH test)
chest X-ray

Causes may include exposure to various drugs, parasitic infestation

As you might see the possibilities are various but my first guess will be an
allergic asthma and lung eosinophilia
see a specialist for x rays, ct scann, bronchoscopy and allergic testing
beside of other blood testing very specific and following that start your
treatment.
